Hebrew Blessing -

Upon seeing an outstanding Torah sage

When you see, meet, or hear an outstanding Hebrew sage, one who is steeped in the Torah and is considered an authority, the following blessing may be recited:

Blessed are You, LORD our God, Master of the universe,
who has given wisdom to those who fear Him.

Transliterated:

Barukh attah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha’olam,
shechalak meichokhmato lireiav.
